Folkvang Coffee began with a lifelong love of coffee and tea. It also began with a simple frustration. Too much coffee reaches people after its best days are already behind it.

We believe coffee should be something you look forward to each morning. It should have aroma, flavor, and character. It should never feel like an old provision pulled from the back of a forgotten storeroom.

Folkvang Coffee takes its name from Fólkvangr, the legendary field of the Norse goddess Freyja. Our collection carries that Nordic spirit into the modern coffee ritual. Each cup brings together old stories, carefully selected coffee, and the comfort of gathering around something worth sharing.

Thought, Memory, and Education

In Norse mythology, Odin relied on two ravens named Huginn and Muninn. Their names are commonly translated as Thought and Memory. Each day, they traveled across the realms before returning with knowledge of what they had seen.

That search for knowledge has special meaning for us.

Education has always been part of the foundation beneath this house. Learning has shaped our families, our work, and the way we approach Folkvang Coffee.

We are currently searching for the right education-focused organization to support. No partner has been selected yet. When the right one is found, we want the relationship to be meaningful, transparent, and capable of making a genuine difference.

Freshness Begins At Roasting

Fresh coffee should taste alive.

Beans are roasted in frequent small batches. This helps reduce the time coffee spends stored on a warehouse shelf. It also allows each order to begin its journey while the coffee is still full of flavor and aroma.

Coffee orders ship on the same day the beans are roasted and packed. Delivery generally takes 3 to 4 business days. Weekends and holidays may extend that journey.

From single-origin coffee and bold house blends to flavored coffee, matcha, and loose-leaf tea, every offering is selected to bring character to the cup. Whole bean and ground coffee options make it easier to choose the provisions that fit your preferred brewing method.

Our purpose is straightforward. We want to share our love of coffee and tea while offering the freshest products possible at the best prices we can provide.

You should enjoy your coffee. You should notice its aroma when the bag opens. You should taste the character of the roast when it reaches your cup. Settling for coffee that spent months waiting to be sold is a bleak way to begin the morning.
